Founded in 1972 by Mr. Jean-Marc Carré and four other shareholders under the name “Les Entreprises Électriques du Cap”, the company specializes solely in the installation of telecommunications towers.
The company begins to manufacture steel in a small workshop in St-Luc-de-Vincennes.
To highlight the addition of the new engineering and installation services for structures and equipment, the company decides to change its name to Captel.
Captel moves all of its administrative staff as well as its professional and technical personnel from the engineering, drafting and installation departments to 2490 des Récollets Boulevard in Trois-Rivières, while keeping its plant and manufacturing staff in St-Luc-de-Vincennes.
Captel is ISO 9001 certified.
Always in full expansion, Captel builds its new administrative center and warehouse on Parent Boulevard in Trois-Rivières.
Following major investments in new high-performance equipment at the plant, the company proceeds with a 20,000 square foot expansion on Parent Boulevard.
David Carré becomes the principal owner and president of the company.
The manufacturing plant located in Saint-Luc-de-Vincennes and its personnel are relocated to 9395 Parent Boulevard in Trois-Rivières.
